Saint Mary’s University International Development Conference
The International Development Studies Graduate Student Society at Saint Mary's University is pleased to announce a conference entitled“Partners in Development—Building A Better Future Through Collaboration” to be held March 15-17th, 2012 at the Saint Mary’s University Halifax, NS campus.
We welcome abstracts from graduate students, academics, policy makers, and practitioners in various disciplinary perspectives on the following sub themes:
- Advocacy and governance
- Education and health
- Food security and sustainability
- Micro-finance and social enterprise
- Technology and innovation
- Women and youth empowerment
Presentations must relate to one or more of the conference sub themes and should highlight the role of partnering, or cooperating, as a central dynamic of the development process. Each presenter would be allocated 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for question and answer).
Additional Guidelines:
- Applications must include: an abstract (a maximum of 350 words) and brief bio-sketch (a maximum of 200 words) submitted on the attached form.
- Deadline for the submission of abstracts is 30 January 2012
- Participants will be notified of their selection by 15 February 2012
