The IDS community in Canada is large and constantly growing.  This community includes students and academics, policy analysts and researchers, government departments and non-governmental organizations, community social workers as well as businesses and business leaders.  Most importantly (and pertinently to the field of IDS), this community extends beyond the borders of any one nation, group, space or or geographical location. IDS is an international and interdisciplinary field and it is important to extend and bolster these cross-boundary connections.

Part of CASID's mission is to promote networking and enhance communications between the people and organizations that compose this community and in this spirit we maintain a list of weblinks to important organizations, programs, and departments in Canada and worldwide that are engaged in the field.  We hope that this list will facilitate the research of those interested in or new to the field of IDS, broaden public awareness of the extent of the IDS community, and help establish and strengthen linkages between those already working in the field.

Do you work in the IDS field and know of organizations or groups that are not listed here but should be?  Are you a student or instructor in an academic department or program dedicated to IDS, but that is missing from our list of undergraduate and graduate programs? If so, please do not hesitate to contact us and let us know so that we can add or revise our list accordingly.
